The base is also signed Tiffany Studios, N.Y. 319 The base measures 13" h. x 4 1/2" w. at bottom of base. The shades are approximately 4 1/2" L. x 3 1'4" w. Tiffany Studios: Cypriote favrile tiffany glass Vase
Beautiful Cypriote tiffany glass favrile purple-blue iridescence, with moonscape, signed L. C. T. Favrile/V 308, 7 l/4" h. Photo is darker than vase appears. Cypriote glass was rolled in fragmented crumbs of glass to give the impression of old Roman glass and is very rare. This is a typical shape of Roman glassware. A similar vase is pictured in Behind the Scenes of Tiffany Glassmaking, by Eidelberg and McClelland P. 86 left top photo and P. 69 for description of the glass. Mark dates 1904 P. 69 and 70 describes the pieces of cypriote glass as being early in the Tiffany period, with very few pieces made. Tiffany Studios: Tiffany Samian Glass Red Glass Vases PAIR
Unusual tiffany glass pair of Tiffany Glass Samian red favrile vases. Provenance Joseph Briggs. Inscribed L.C. Tiffany Favrile/1131-9772 L.and 1131-9769 L. respectively,
7" h. x 2" w price is for the pair. Simian red was made by Tiffany, in tribute to the craft of ancient Samos.
See Behind the Scenes of Tiffany Glass Making, by Eidelberg and McClelland, P. 216, description of Samian Red Glass. This is one of the new colors introduced after 1900. The pieces were graceful, unornamental oriental shapes. The Samarian red was generally not combined with other colors. Very few of these Tiffany pieces were made as this red was very hard to produce and are collectors items.
See P. 225, for illustration of Samian glass from Nash's collection. He writes "Samian red, best red ever made". See P. 216 for color illustration and description. Tiffany Studios Daffodil lamp, flowing art nouveau design, with long-stemmed daffodils, shade signed Tiffany Studios, New York base impressed Tiffany Studios New York 394 S197. It measures 24" high and shade is 16" diam. The shade is Illustrated in The Lamps of Tiffany, by Dr. Egon Neustadt, P. 133, Illustration 188 The daffodils are supported by extremely long stems, two in each repeat reach almost to the aperture, the third is set near the middle of the shade. There are three repeats. The flowers are orange-yellow, the large size of their center cups is especially evident in the daffodil facing directly forward and the one at center right. The stems are light green, and the segmented leaves are dark green.

Fantastic Tiffany Studios, Tiffany glass favrile, Floriform with magnificant coloring with green leaves, and very strong gold-orange iridescence. It consists of 10 panels. Shaded greenish-brown leaves swirl from the stem into the curved top. The inside of the rim is shaded from yellow to burnt red on each panel.It has a striated stem, and a smooth button pontel. The vase is signed LCT 1614B, in absolutely mint condition. Measuring 10" h. x 4" diam. of base. I cannot photograph the intensity and beauty of the iridescence and decoration. This is a rare piece. Fantastic Tiffany Studios Dragonfly table lamp, dragonflys with green wings blue bodies and red jewel eyes, with a firey yellow-orange rippled glass ground. The curved apron is composed of green and yellow-orange rippled glass invaded by the wings. Around the aparature there is a matching border to the apron. The wings are covered with an intricate metal filigree which simulates their natural veining. The wings have overlapping areas raised above the surface of the shade giving it a striking three-dimensional quality. Shade stamped Tiffany Studios New York 1432, base stamped Tiffany Studios, New York D806 22" h. 17" diam. of shade.
